The Green Line
Hala Alsalman
Short Film | Canada | 2011 | 5 min.

Two very different women notice each other on the subway. Fascinated by their contrasting forms of attire, the strangers become entangled in a glancing game that quickly descends into a war of dirty looks. Meanwhile, another commuter has let his imagination take over while observing their exchange! Hala Alsalman, director of AFF 2009 official selection short, Phatwa, returns with The Green Line. Set in Montreal's metro system, this quirky silent film explores the way people judge each other based on their appearance.
